Welcome to the American University of the Middle East (AUM), a mobile application developed
for users at American University of the Middle East. This application was built by American
University of the Middle East. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your
personal information when you use our app. We take your privacy seriously and are committed
to protecting your data. By using the App, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

User Login Information: You can log in using your university credentials, we will then display
your basic user information, including your name, major, courses, grades, email address and
schedules. This information is provided directly by your university system, and we do not store it
within the app. Collecting personal data only for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and
not exploiting it beyond these purposes.
Information We Do Not Collect
● Device Information: We do not collect any information about your device, such as its
model, operating system version, or language settings.
● Financial Data: We do not collect any sensitive information such as your financial aid
statements or payment information.
● Location Data: We do not track your location or collect any location-based data.
Use of Your Information
● We use your user information solely to display it within the app, allowing you to easily
access your grades, schedules, course details, and related university matters.
● Calendar and Reminder Access (Optional):
If you choose to enable specific features within the app, such as adding events to your
calendar or setting reminders, we may access your device's calendar or reminder app
with your explicit permission. This permission is optional and can be revoked at any time
within your device's settings. We do not collect or store any information from your
calendar or reminders.
● We retain your personal data for the duration necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in
this policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

information you see within the app is displayed directly from your university system and remains
there.

Access and Logout: You can view your user information within the app, and you can log out at
any point from the app.
Manage Calendar/Reminder Access: You can manage your permission for calendar or reminder
access within your device's settings.
Data Security
While we do not store your user information within the app, we ensure secure communication
with your university system through encryption and secure connection protocols. If you grant
permission for calendar or reminder access, we handle that data securely and do not store any
information from those apps.
Retention of Information
We do not retain any of your user information within the app. Information is displayed directly
from your university system and refreshed when you log in.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page
periodically for any changes. We will notify you through the app or other means if we make any
